Passes are computed on our own server for St Peter Port (49.4547, -2.535) from CelesTrak orbital elements using the SGP4 propagator (pyorbital), with the illumination test done properly: the satellite must be in sunlight while the observer is in twilight or darkness. Darkness times use the Sun's altitude (−6°, −12°, −18°). Geomagnetic Kp observations and forecasts are from NOAA SWPC; cloud cover from Open-Meteo.com (CC BY 4.0). Brightness is not modelled — a grade-A pass of a rocket body can still be faint, while the ISS is always unmistakable.
